David N. Soghor, M.D. (October 20, 1938-present) is an American doctor, psychoanalyst, researcher, and dreamer. He is the author of one book currently available, with another volume expected to be published in 2020. Early he studied variously and laudatorily at the University of California, Los Angeles. A decade later he emerged with Board Certification in the two different sub-specialties, that is in the separate fields of both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. He was educated, graduated, and participated in the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Society and Institute for 30 years.

He has worked in the same office in Beverly Hills for 50 years, practicing psychoanalysis and treating a very large number and range of individuals. A substantial sub-set of these patients were in the field of the arts, that is so prominent in Los Angeles.

He has spent the last 20-30 years delving into the utility and importance of dreaming in the course of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. To be more specific he has tried to emphasize the centrality of dreaming and dream analysis..that in his opinion is at a core in the pursuit of importantly expanded introspection and self-awareness.A unique aspect to his approach is to interact with dreams poetically. This can be seen in what evolved unintentionally into a subtle memoir, if read carefully, that came from that year of dreaming..and therefore is a major subtext of his book, Dreamography. Also in the poems what emerges are a slew of observational opinions, that to his mind, have more universal application.
